New works for voice and instruments by Moritz Eggert at “resonanzraum” in Hamburg

The ensemble resonanz will present Moritz Eggert’s works “Croatoan II” for string quartet and percussion as well as the “Five Songs from the Bordellballade” for voice and string quintet with the composer as singer on 26 June 2015 at an evening concert entitled “urban string‚ böser barde” at the “resonanzraum”, St. Pauli, in Hamburg. The “Five Songs from the Bordellballade” will be given their world premiere on this occasion.

The original version of the “Bordellballade” for singing actor and small ensemble (octet) written in 2009 was already premiered on 4 March 2010 at the Music Theatre in the Bauhaus in Dessau by members of the Rhenish State Theatre Philharmonic under the direction of Arno Waschk.

In addition, Moritz Eggert will give the world premiere of three songs from the cycle “Borowiak-Lieder” whilst accompanying himself at the piano.
