“De profundis” by Lera Auerbach Receives World Premiere

At the “Trans-Siberian Art Festival” in Novosibirsk (22.03.-05.04.2015) being held this year for the second time, the violinist Vadim Repin and the Novosibirsk Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Dmitri Jurowski will present the world premiere of Concerto No. 3 for violin and orchestra “De profundis” by the Russian-American composer Lera Auerbach on 27 March 2015.

The concert will take place at Arnold Kats State Concert Hall during the course of the event “21st Century Violin”. Vadim Repin commissioned the composition for this festival. Another performance will take place on 8 April 2015 (7:00 PM) in Krasnoyarsk performed by the Krasnoyarsk Symphony Orchestra conducted by Dmitri Jurowski at Philharmonic Hall.

The composer will be present at the premiere in Novosibirsk. She will deliver a lecture about her oeuvre and read from her poetry on 28 March 2015. At another symphony concert of the Novosibirsk Philharmonic Orchestra on 1 April 2015, Lera Auerbach will appear as soloist in Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s Piano Concerto in D minor, K. 466, playing the Russian premiere of her own cadenzas.
