In the summer of 2013, the violinist Ilya Gringolts and the Vorarlberg Symphony Orchestra introduced the Violin Concerto of Mieczysław Weinberg in Schwarzenberg and at the Bregenz Festival, creating a sensation on both occasions. There followed two CD recordings of this impressive violin concerto: one with violinist Linus Roth and the Deutsche Symphonie-Orchester Berlin conducted by Mikhel Kütson (Challenge Classics), which was released in the summer of this year and receive first-class evaluations in the specialist press, as well as a recording with Ilya Gringolts and the Warsaw National Philharmonic under the direction of Jacek Kaspszyk, to be released shortly. The German premiere of the Violin Concerto was given on 2 November 2014 at the Baden State Theatre in Karlsruhe, performed by violinist Linus Roth and the Badische Staatskapelle Karlsruhe under Mei-Ann Chen.

On 9 January 2015, the star violinist Gidon Kremer and the Naples Philharmonic Orchestra under the direction of Andrey Boreyko will perform the American premiere of the Concerto for Violin and Orchestra at Hayes Hall in Naples, USA. Gidon Kremer intends to perform the work frequently throughout the world; for example, the next performance will be on 14 February 2015 with the Concerto Budapest under András Keller in Budapest.
