Lera Auerbach‘s Cadenzas to W. A. Mozart‘s Flute Concerto D major K. 314 given World Premiere in Washington

The flutist Aaron Goldman will perform the world premiere of the Cadenzas to W.A. Mozart’s Flute Concerto in D major, K. 314 by Lera Auerbach on 13 November 2014 at the Kennedy Center in Washington. Lera Auerbach wrote the solo cadenzas in 2014 in response to a commission from the Washington National Symphony Orchestra and its solo flutist, Aaron Goldman.

The conductor will be Christoph Eschenbach, the music director of the Washington National Symphony Orchestra and former principal conductor of the NDR Symphony Orchestra.

Additional performances will take place on 14 and 15 November 2014 at the Kennedy Center.
