Moritz Eggert: Two World Premieres and a Local Premiere in July 2014

Reichersberg in Austria, Dörentrup and Wasserburg in Upper Bavaria will be the locations of premiere performances on 4 and 5 July 2014 of works by the composer and pianist Moritz Eggert, born in Heidelberg.

The Brno Philharmonic, the Linz Cathedral Choir and the Ensemble Singer Pur conducted by Caspar Richter, will perform the Austrian premiere of Eggert’s “Missa” for vocal sextet, choir and orchestra on 4 July 2014 in Reichersberg.

One day later, on 5 July 2014, there will follow two world premieres in two different cities: the “3 Wortszenen” (three word scenes) for recorder and choir entitled “Nacht. Tick. All” will be given their world premiere in Dörentrup by Stefan Temmingh (recorder) and the ChorWerk Ruhr under Florian Helgath at the literature & music festival “Wege durch das Land” (Paths through the Country).

On the same day, in Wasserburg, Upper Bavaria, the clarinettist Thorsten Johanns together with the Bavarian Chamber Philharmonic will perform the world premiere of “Aura” for clarinet and string orchestra during the course of a jubilee concert for the Richard Strauss Year 2014. Gabriel Adorján will conduct this world premiere.
