Content:

Horse City is firmly under the control of the good-for-nothings Skip and Butch, who hold the town in fear and terror with their wild shootings. Old Sheriff Pearson can no longer do anything to stop the ruthless bandits. He has to watch helplessly while brutal force of arms sweeps aside law and order. Even worse are the threats of the Killer, the mysterious, so-far invisible criminal responsible for a long series of murders in the region. Two strangers enter Mrs. Pennywaters Prairie Saloon one evening, the social focal point of the town. They are Jimmy and his companion Claire and they wish to meet the Killer, whose dubious notoriety has become known even as far away as the east coast. Jimmy explains, in comic naivety, that he is an academic shooting researcher and pistol psychologist. The two greenhorns are only ridiculed at first, but it soon becomes apparent that these are two master shooters hidden behind the harmless faade; already on the first evening they teach Skip and his cohort a lesson. Skip is also furious to notice how his girlfriend, the beautiful bar singer Lilli at the Prairie Saloon, but also Judy, Mrs. Pennywaters niece, are very taken by Jimmys boyish, gentlemanly manners. When Sheriff Pearson is killed from behind while tracking down the secret of the Killer, Jimmy decides to act. He energetically starts hunting for the mysterious murderer. But before the secret of the Killer is revealed and a happy couple can celebrate its engagement, some bold forays through the Prairie must yet been undertaken and a number of revolvers shot empty
