Lera Auerbach in Brazil

A special interest in the oeuvre of Lera Auerbach has developed recently in Brazil. South American premieres of her major orchestral works ”Post silentium“ and the ”Requiem for a Poet“ have been announced for 28, 29 and 30 November 2013 in Sao Paulo with the Orquestra Sinfonica do Estado de Sao Paulo. On 1 December 2013, Lera Auerbach (piano), Zoryana Kushpler (mezzo-soprano) and Narek Hakhnazaryan (violoncello) will perform the South American premieres of the works ”Last Letter“ for mezzo-soprano, violoncello and piano, Sonata for Violoncello and Piano and 24 Piano Preludes in Sao Paulo. This will not be Lera Auerbach‘s first visit to Brazil. She was already invited by the Paraná Symphony Orchestra in May 2012 to Curitiba, where she was given an orchestral portrait concert with her Symphony No. 1 and “Sogno di Stabat Mater”.
