Bogota: Ferran Cruixent’s “Focs d’artifici” in Colombia

The Colombian premiere of Ferran Cruixent’s “Focs d’artifici” for percussion and orchestra will be presented on 15 November 2013 by the percussionist William Léon and the Orquesta Filarmonica de Bogota directed by the Peruvian conductor Carmen Moral.

The Catalonian composer Cruixent wrote his percussion concerto for the German world-class percussionist Peter Sadlo, who performed the world premiere on 14 January 2008 with the Württembergische Philharmonie Reutlingen in Reutlingen. “Focs d’artifici” (“fireworks”) has meanwhile been successfully performed in countries including China and Spain, and now for the first time in South America.
