Johannes X. Schachtner: “Quatre tombeaux de vent“ and “Paralipomenon“ receive World Premiere

In the end of June 2013 there will be two world premieres of new works by the composer Johannes X. Schachtner in Munich.

On 21 June 2013 Schachtner’s “Quatre tombeaux de vent“ for soprano and chamber ensemble will be premiered during the course of the winners’ concert of the “Franz Josef Reinl Composer-Competition” in the Gasteig in Munich. The work was awarded with the third prize at the “Reinl Composer-Competition” in March this year.

Two days later, on 23 June 2013, Sibylla Duffe (soprano), Frauke Burg (soprano), Theresa Holzhauser (mezzo soprano), Roland Schneider (alto), Peter Schöne (baritone) and the Ensemble A·DEvantgarde will present the world premiere of the 2012 written ”Paralipomenon“ (Fragments from the Holy Mass II) for five singer and ensemble under the direction of the composer. This concert is part of the 12th International A·DEvantgarde Festival “Missa est“ (21 - 23 June).
