Premieres of Works by Alexander Raskatov

Following the world premiere of Alexander Raskatov's “Monk’s Music” in Dundalk, Ireland just given in February 2013, there will be two more concert highlights in March 2013.

The orchestral work “Steady Time” will receive its Belgian premiere in Brussels on 8 March 2013, performed by the Belgian National Orchestra under the direction of Andrey Boreyko. “Steady Time” is a compilation of the three interludes to Raskatov’s orchestration of the “Songs and Dances of Death” of Modest Mussorgsky; these interludes form an independent work.

The Italian premiere of Raskatov's opera “A Dog’s Heart” will then be presented at the Theatre La Scala in Milan on 16 March 2013. The opera, in a production by Simon McBurney, will be presented under the musical direction of Martyn Brabbins.

The premiere planned for the 13 March was shifted for technical reasons to 16 March. Now on 13 March the necessary final rehearsal takes place.
