Marius Felix Lange's Opera “Snow White” in France

Marius Felix Lange's well-known opera for children and adults “Snow White” is being presented in France by the Opéra national du Rhin under the title of “Blanche-Neige” in a production by Waut Koeken.

The composer, born in Berlin, passionately loves to create operas for children and adults, also writing his own libretto for “Snow White” which was premiered in the spring of 2011 in Cologne. Lange’s imaginative, poetic music makes something very special out of this timeless story in which goodness and honesty are rewarded and triumph over arbitrary evil.

The work will now be given its French premiere at the Théâtre municipal in Colmar on 21 December 2012, with the Orchestre philharmonique de Strasbourg conducted by Vincent Monteil.
