Bis heute hat der Russische Tango nichts von seiner Individualität eingebüßt. Im 20. Jahrhundert haben sich seine Eigenarten ganz unabhängig vom argentinischen Tango in Russland entfalten können. Ein ganz aktueller Beitrag nun stammt von dem 1951 geborenen Komponisten Slawa Ulanowski. In seinem kammermusikalischen Tango für Violine, Violoncello und Klavier „Sie und Er“ stellt der Komponist auch das Spannungsverhältnis zwischen den Tanzpartnern in den Fokus.

The Russian tango has sacrificed none of its individuality up to the present day. Its special characteristics were able to develop in twentieth-century Russia completely independently from the Argentine tango. This completely new contribution is by the composer Slawa Ulanowski, born in 1951. In his chamber-musical Tango for Violin, Violoncello and Piano "She and He," the composer also focuses on the relationship of tension between the dancing partners.
