New Opera: Moritz Eggert's “All diese Tage” Premiere in Bremen

Moritz Eggert's new opera “All diese Tage” will be given its world premiere at the Bremen Theatre on 28 April 2012.

The opera is concerned with apparently undramatic everyday events which are acutely real: all the hopes, dreams, disappointments and longings that can be sensed beneath the surface of everyday life. At the same time, it is a panopticon of our time which represents a major challenge for the individual with its contrast of permanent networking and lack of relationship, of an oversupply and inner loneliness. This "period opera" lives from the relationship of tension between art and everyday life. Its speedy, variable and energy-laden music leads the listener through the everyday lives of families in Bremen with driving rhythms.

The libretto by Andrea Heuser was created on the basis of interviews with young people of Bremen. The Orchestra and Choir of the Bremen Theatre will present the world premiere conducted by Florian Ziemen and Daniel Mayr (choir). Michael Talke is the director.

“All diese Tage” was commissioned by the Bremen Theatre.
