Content:

Liane, the spoilt daughter of the rich auto manufacturer Karsten, is celebrating her 21st birthday in the form of a festive reception. She is overjoyed when her cousin Toni, who is visiting a large city for the first time, bursts into this fine high society. The outward appearance of this party is deceptive, however, for Stachwitz, Karsten’s strongest competitor, threatens to take over Karsten’s auto factory if Stachwitz’ car should win at the upcoming auto race. It is announced, at the trial race, that head engineer Konstantin Wendt at the wheel of the Karsten race car has
victoriously reached the finish line. At this moment, Stachwitz appears at Liane’s reception with an opulent bouquet of roses – he wants not only to take over the company, but also to marry the attractive Miss Karsten. He confidently announces that the Stachwitz car is unbeatable, being technically superior. A little later Konstantin Wendt also turns up at Liane’s party – still in dashing racing clothes – accompanied by his friend Bobby. It quickly becomes apparent that the stand-offish Wendt and the manufacturer’s daughter are madly in love with each other. Meanwhile, Bobby is attracted by the high-spirited Toni and begins a bold flirt with her. The next day there is an explosion at the Karsten factory while a carburettor system is being tested; Konstantin miraculously survives the explosion. Spirits are low at the Karsten factory: should Stachwitz win the race with his new model the next day, many employees at Karsten will have to be let go – everything depends on Wendt’s winning the race, contrary to expectations. Liane feverishly searches for a way to help her Konnie win. Will the bold step – which she finally dares – save the Karsten factory? Does happiness await Liane and Konstantin at the finish line?
