Giya Kancheli’s “Ninna, Nanna” Celebrates German Premiere in Wiesbaden

The piece “Ninna, Nanna” for flute and string quartet by the Georgian composer Giya Kancheli, already premiered in the USA (Kansas City) on 8 August 2008, will receive its German premiere in Wiesbaden on 4 December 2010.

Thomas Richter (flute), Uta Lorenz and Svantje Wolf (violins), Gertrud Weise (viola) and Susanne Tscherbner (violoncello) will be the interpreters at the Christmas Concert (“Lullabies of the Romantic and Modern Periods”) at the Hessian State Theatre.

Further performances will take place on 11 December (3 PM, Foyer, Grosses Haus) and 12 December (5 PM, thalhaus).
