Stuttgart Chamber Orchestra with an Unusual Programme from Shostakovich to Eggert

Ever since its founding in 1945, the Stuttgart Chamber Orchestra has occupied an outstanding position in the international orchestral landscape. Michael Hofstetter has served as the orchestra’s Music Director since September 2006. Alongside completely new and sensational interpretations of the works of Bach and the Viennese classics, the ensemble has meanwhile increasingly committed itself to contemporary music. The programme recently announced for the 2009/2010 season supplies ample evidence for this claim. Here is a selection of the most interesting concerts:
