Portrait Concert for Sofia Gubaidulina in Moscow

On 13 November, the Moscow Philharmonic Orchestra is to hold a Gubaidulina portrait concert at the Tchaikovsky Concert Hall in Moscow to mark the composer’s 90th birthday. The State Academic Symphony Orchestra of Russia will perform under the baton of Vladimir Jurowski. In addition to the works “Fairy Tale Poem”, “Rubaiyat”, “Mirage: The Dancing Sun (Fata Morgana)” and revue music, there will also be a performance of the work “The Wrath of God”, which received its Russian premiere in Kazan on 30 October 2021.
