120th birthday of the composer Harald BŲhmelt

The German composer and bandmaster Harald Böhmelt (23.10.1900 - 15.10.1982) achieved great fame with his film music and hits in the middle of the 20th century. We are to commemorate his 120th birthday on 23 October 2020.

Two pieces from the film adaptation of the novel "Kleiner Mann - was nun?" (Little Man - what now?), interpreted by the Comedian Harmonists, became world famous. Böhmelt was also a composer of operettas and wrote Singspiels (singing plays). Böhmelt spent his last years in Bad Tölz.
