Tatyana Smirnova's 80th birthday on March 30, 2020

Russian composer Tatyana Smirnova was born in St. Petersburg on March 30, 1940 and died in Moscow on June 6th, 2018. We commemorate on March 30 the 80th birthday of this composer, who graduated from the Tchaikovsky Conservatory in Moscow in 1965 in piano with Yakov Zak and in 1968 in composition with Evgeny Golubev. Chamber and orchestral music in particular made Tatyana Smirnova's name known. The distinctive chamber music work „Little Triptych“ for Flute, Clarinet and Bassoon is also available in print from Sikorski music publishers (SIK 6882).
