Spanish premiere of Ferran Cruixents „Cyborg“ for orchestra

The term "Cyborg“ denotes a hybrid of living organism and machine. It mostly describes people whose bodies are permanently supplemented by artificial components. Ferran Cruixent says that "Cyborg“ for orchestra is based on philosophical ideas about being human.
The work of the Catalan composer, completed in 2010, had its world premiere on May 2, 2005 in Weimar. The Spanish premiere is scheduled for February 27, 2020 in Bilbao. The Bilbao Orkestra Sinfonikoa will be played, directed by Leonard Slatkin.
