Lera Auerbach is artist in residence of the city of New Orleans

From 5 February to 11 April 2019, Lera Auerbach is an artist in residence in the city of New Orleans. To make this possible, five cultural institutions of the metropolis on the Mississippi River have joined forces: the Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra, the New Orleans Opera, the New Orleans Friends of Music, the Musical Arts Society of New Orleans and Loyola University New Orleans. In the foreground are musical events such as the US premiere of her 3rd Symphony "The Infant Minstrel and His Peculiar Menagerie", the re-staging of her choral opera "The Blind", piano recitals and master classes.
