Israeli Premiere of Lera Auerbach’s “De profundis”

The Israeli premiere of Lera Auerbach’s Concerto No. 3 for violin and orchestra “De profundis” will be given on 5 May 2016 in Rishon LeZion. In this concert the violinist Vadim Repin will be supported by the Israel Symphony Orchestra Rishon LeZion under the direction of their chief conductor James Judd.

The world premiere of Auerbach’s “De profundis” was given on 27 March 2015 at the 2nd edition of the “Trans-Siberian Art Festival” in Novosibirsk. Vadim Repin was also the soloist in this concert, accompanied by the Novosibirsk Philharmonic Orchestra und the direction of Dmitri Jurowski.

Lera Auerbach’s work is a commissioned work by Vadim Repin for the “Trans-Siberian Art Festival”.

A further concert of “De profundis” with the same interprets will be given on 8 May 2016 (8 PM) at the Israeli Opera in Tel Aviv.
