Der georgische Komponist Sulchan Zinzadse ist nach dem Zweiten Weltkrieg vor allem durch seine Bearbeitungen traditioneller Tänze und Gesänge seiner Heimat bekannt geworden. Dazu zählt auch der feurige Kriegstanz „Satschidao“, den die Bajan-Virtuosin Elsbeth Moser nun für Violoncello und Bajan bearbeitet hat. Die dunkle Tonfärbung beider Instrumente verleiht diesem Stück einen ganz besonderen Charakter.

The Georgian composer Sulkhan Tsintsadze became especially well-known after the Second World War for his adaptations of traditional songs and dances of his homeland. These also include the fiery war dance "Sachidao," which the bayan virtuoso Elsbeth Moser has now adapted for violoncello and bayan. The dark timbres of both instruments lend this piece a very special character.
