Munzlinger, Manuel

Manuel Munzlinger, born in Berlin, studied the oboe at the University of the Arts in Berlin with Hansjörg Schellenberger. Alongside his activities as a soloist, Munzlinger is a very successful composer who has enriched the repertoire of his instrument with entertaining, witty, playful works.

His predilection for the synthesis of classic and jazz, together with the untold possibilities of the oboe in this genre, led to the compositions “australian jazz trio” for 2 oboes and English horn (world premiere: Oboe section / Adelaide Symphony Orchestra), “Jazz Concerto for Oboe and Strings” (UA: German String Philharmonic, cond.: Michael Sanderling) and the “BaRock Concerto for Oboe, String and Basso continuo.”
