The new Sikorski Magazine 2/2010 has come out!
The author and television journalist Roger Willemsen adorns the title page of the new Sikorski Magazine 2/2010. Together with Jan Müller-Wieland, Munich-based composer who is also a Professor of Composition at the Music Academy there, he has created a melodrama which opens up completely new possibilities to its rare genre.
In addition, there is a great deal of information about new vocal music and string quartets from our catalogues, as well as interesting world and local premieres. However, contemporary composers’ confrontation with tradition also remains a central subject, time and again. In some of their works, some avant-gardists even quote great colleagues of the past such as Mozart or Wagner.
