Sofia Gubaidulina beim Kuhmo-Festival
Das diesjährige Kuhmo-Kammermusikfestival, das insgesamt 240 Werke präsentieren wird, findet vom 13. bis 26. Juli 2008 statt. Als Festivalkomponistin wurde in diesem Jahr Sofia Gubaidulina eingeladen. Am 22. Juli wird sie Kammermusikwerke verschiedener Komponisten präsentieren, die ihr eigenes Schaffen maßgeblich inspiriert haben. Am 23. Juli erfolgt die finnische Erstaufführung ihres Ensemblewerks "Am Rande des Abgrunds" für sieben Celli und 2 Aquaphone. Im Einzelnen gelangen folgende Werke von Sofia Gubaidulina beim Kuhmo-Festival zur Aufführung :
