Sofia Gubaidulina at the Kuhmo Festival
This year’s Kuhmo Chamber Music Festival, which will present 240 works altogether, takes place from 13 to 26 July 2008. Sofia Gubaidulina has been invited as this year’s Festival Composer. On 22 July, she will present chamber works by various composers which have particularly influenced her own production. The Finnish premiere of her ensemble work “On the Edge of the Abyss” for seven celli and 2 aquaphones will follow on 23 July.
