Wenchen QIN: “The Cloud River” Given World Premiere at the Warsaw Autumn

The Chinese composer Wenchen Qin recently composed his new work “The Cloud River” for sheng and orchestra for the festival Warsaw Autumn (15-23 September 2017). It will be given its world premiere in Warsaw on the final day of the festival on 23 September 2017.

Yang Zheng (sheng) and the Polish National Radio Symphony Orchestra will present the concert work under the direction of Jacek Kaspszyk at the Filharmonia Narodowa in Warsaw. Kaspszyk has been conducting the Polish National Radio Symphony Orchestra (NOSPR) since the 2013/14 season.

Warsaw Autumn (in Polish: Warszawska Jesień) is the largest festival for contemporary music in Poland, lasts eight days and has traditionally been held in late September since 1956.
